Many owners experience unwanted behaviour from their pet dog at some time, and their can be nothing worse than a pet dog that creates havoc for his owner, or maybe he has other problems such as a fear or phobia, whatever the problem I can help.

I hold consultations for dogs of all ages.

Pre puppy visit - For before your puppy arrives, or new puppy owners.
Puppy Behaviour Consultation - For puppies up to 12 months of age.
Behaviour Consultation - For all dogs over 12 months of age.

Pre Puppy Visit
When getting a new puppy it is best to give him the best start in life. I can teach you how to use reward based training with your new puppy so he will be well behaved from the start. At this early age it is so easy to prevent all the problems that new owners can sometimes encounter with their new puppies, house soiling, chewing, biting etc. Exercises will be demonstrated and everything I teach you documented so it is all at hand for you to follow everyday.

Puppy Behaviour Consultation
These visits are for the owner who is already experiencing behavioural problems with their puppy, most problems can be solved easily when you know how, I will spend 1 to 2 hours with you so I can work out an individual  programme for you to follow. I will then keep in close contact with you for the following weeks to see how you are progressing.

Behaviour Consultation
Many dogs develop behavioural problems for various reasons; they are all different just as we are. Rescue dogs unfortunately can pick up many bad habits, such as barking, chewing, separation anxiety etc through no fault of their own.

Some dogs can get too big for their boots and can cause absolute havoc to a family, some are shy, nervous and fearful, whatever the problem it won't go away on its own.

Usually there is a reason behind unwanted behaviour, I will help you find the cause and then work to cure the problem. Each case is different so I will design an individual programme for you and your dog.

What to Expect
You will be asked to fill in a detailed questionnaire so I can get an idea of what is causing the problem, once I receive this I will call you to arrange a visit. At the visit I will go through the problem in detail and then discuss with you what I think is going on. I will then design an individual programme for you and your dog. After the visit I will keep in close contact with you over the next few weeks via email or phone, so that you have my support the whole time.

You may be asked to have your dog vet checked to rule out any medical problems, as many illnesses, aches and pains can cause various behavioural problems
